Precision matters with neuromodulators and fillers, and clients frequently pay for a steady hand rather than just the product itself.

Product and equipment. Laser hair removal, body contouring, and laser skin treatments depend heavily on the device in the room. Newer or medical-grade laser and RF platforms cost the practice more to buy and maintain, and that shows up in package pricing. Ask what specific device is being used before comparing quotes, since two “laser hair removal” prices can reflect very different technology.

What’s bundled into the visit. Some practices include a follow-up touch-up in the quoted price for Botox or filler; others charge separately for any adjustment. This is worth asking about directly, since our complaint data includes at least one report of a client expecting a complimentary touch-up (in that case, for Botox used for sweating) that wasn’t offered. A clear answer up front avoids a surprise later.

Membership and package structures. IV therapy and wellness services, laser hair removal series, and facial memberships are frequently sold as packages or subscriptions. Per-session cost usually drops with a package, but only if you’ll actually use all the sessions. Location and overhead. Rent, staffing levels, and local demand all factor into the final number. A location with multiple service lines and heavier foot traffic may price standard treatments differently than a smaller, single-focus practice. One complaint in our data referenced reduced services at a specific location after a broader footprint change, a reminder that pricing and service scope can shift over time even at an established practice, sometimes tied to ownership or staffing changes.

• Confirm the injector’s credentials: RN, NP, PA, or MD, and how many years they’ve been injecting
